7-27 Beth reported the hatch of DEB03 located north of Walkway #10. She counted about 25 tracks!
7-27 Beth found a fresh crawl where the turtle climbed the sea wall to lay her nest.
7-27 Pat had the honor of finding the egg chamber of DEB17 and displays the egg which will be used for DNA.
7-27 Protecting sea turtles requires teamwork…congratulations to the DEB17 team!

North: We will do the inventory of DEB01 dated 5/25 located south of #16mm (Prince George) on Saturday at 6:00 p.m. This is a 25-30 minute walk from the Beach Club so please allow time. Check the website for inventory status at 5:00 p.m. Saturday in case the weather is questionable.

Middle: Beth reported the hatch, at 55 days, of natural DEB03 dated 6/2 located north of Walkway #10! She estimated about 25 tracks. We will inventory this nest Monday at 6:00 p.m.

Beth also had a fresh crawl just north of Walkway #11 where the turtle climbed the foot high sea wall to nest above. After finishing their North walk, Judy K., Pat S. and Marie joined Beth for training. Pat (and also Marie), who is working toward certification, probed the body pit area and easily located the egg chamber (DEB17). Way to go, Pat!

Hobcaw: Bill reported the hatch at 50 days of natural HOB01 dated 6/7 located south of #19mm. He estimated about 60 tracks leading to the water! Steven will inventory this nest Monday on his morning survey.
