Middle: Tonight at 6:00 we did the inventory of natural DEB03 dated 6/2 located 102 yds. north WW#10. We had a good turnout of about 40 turtle fans of all ages and also volunteers. Paula delivered the turtle talk educating about the current threats to loggerhead sea turtles.
Susan, Beth and Martha were instructors for new volunteers, Sharon and Ferrell. They showed them the art of the inventory of how to dig out the contents and sort the eggs/shells. We had no live hatchlings in the nest and the success was 74%. The nest, laid above the sea wall, had discolored eggs due to the dark renourishment sand and King Tide wash overs it experienced. The inventory team did a good job!
