Hobcaw nest! 2 Gimpy false crawls

Hobcaw: Brandie and Ryan found a possible nest near #3mm and continued on to find 2 more attempts by Gimpy (see May 23 post for her story) to deposit her eggs. On both, she left multiple open chambers near #7mm and #18mm.

Returning to work on the possible nest, Brandie said she wasn’t having any luck locating the chamber so Ryan stepped in and found the spot…way to go Ryan!

Brandie and Ryan said this turtle may have been a bit disoriented but managed to lay her eggs just north of #3mm on Hobcaw. Ryan had the honor of locating the egg chamber.
Poor Gimpy tried unsuccessfully twice last night to lay her eggs. She left multiple open chambers at both locations on Hobcaw.
