Hobcaw nest #5!

HOB: Wendy found a potential nest south of SS#4 where the turtle crawled back through a maze of dead trees and laid just beyond. Wendy located the clutch, leaving it natural….way to go!

6-3-23 Some turtles are so determined to lay their nests that they crawl through a maze of dead trees!
6-3-23 HOB05 covered her nest extensively with sand and then crawled back over her incoming tracks.
6-3-23 Seen through the dead trees, HOB05 successfully deposited her nest and Wendy was able to leave it natural.
