Our volunteers are noticing a number of deep holes being dug on the beach. Digging holes and building sand castles is fine as long as it is done below the high tide line. This way, the ocean naturally fills in these creations. If above the high tide line, holes are a danger for people and pets walking at night who may not see them. They can trap nesting sea turtles who may get caught in the depth and not be able to get out on their own. Please dig your holes below the high tide line…Thanks!
